The Livescribe 4GB Echo Smartpen is one of the most able Smartpens currently available, however, one is left feeling that it represents a great concept whose shortcomings somewhat tarnish its luster. If you can accept the issues surrounding the documentation and pen cap design, but most importantly, the less than perfect accompanying software, the Livescribe 4GB Echo is still the ‘swiss army knife’ of Smartpens. We look forward to the day when a Smartpen such as this has no need for dot guided paper.
